This page will tell you a little about Mid Sussex Rotaract.
What is Rotaract? Sponsored by Rotary, Rotaract is a club for young men and women aged 18 to 30 that offers you the opportunity to:
Rotaract will help you develop your skills and knowledge while making a valuable contribution to your local community. Nationally and internationally too, you will have the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of projects - all proving that through Rotaract we can all really make a difference. You'll make lots of friends too. A truly international organization, Rotaract was formed in 1968 and now has over 173,000 members in over 7,500 clubs worldwide. Mid Sussex Rotaract is part of District 1250 which comprises of 2 clubs in Mid Sussex, Brighton and Chichester. Rotaract is non-denominational, non-religious, and non-political - anyone is welcome.
What we do: Raising money for charity: Raising money for charity doesn't have to be a chore, join Rotaract and and we will make it fun raising money for your favorite charities, by organizing events such as race nights, quiz nights, anything FUN WACKY AND WEIRD.
Community:Community events are group-oriented to encourage working together as a team in a social atmosphere. There are many annual and regular events organized by the club, such as street collections, marshalling at charity events etc. Additionally events are organized in response to a specific request for help such as decorating or gardening for those unable to do so themselves. If you've never done any community work before don't worry because above all the emphasis is fun and variety so that there's something to suit everybody.
How much does joining Rotaract cost? To join Mid Sussex Rotaract it is free of charge,
social: There is also the social side of Rotaract, just sitting at the meeting having a drink meeting new people, with the club organizing social events such as pub crawls, fancy dress parties etc...
